Surf’s Up in Tofino

Surfing was something I discovered a long time ago. As someone who has snowboarded for most of my life, it was a good fit for me. But, as I get older my passion for the sport is growing. I love everything about it. The anticipation of the next set, the rush of dropping in, my feet dangling in the water. Surfing and the ocean have taught me important lessons, especially in this stage of my life. Have patience, sometimes the best is yet to come. Things in life ebb and flow, and you literally just have to go with it. Quality over quantity. I still remember the best waves of my life, where I was, who I was with and how it felt. These last two years have been full of discovery about who I am and who I want to be. Surfing is a huge part of that.

This fall trip to Tofino was important to my best friend, Chris and I. We’re both super passionate about surfing and getting as much time in the water as possible. We knew a warm weather surf trip wasn’t likely going to happen this year, so we decided to head west and pull out the thick wet suits. The water was cold, the forests were green and lush and the surfing was fun.
